DINING HALL PROJECT
For over 60 years, God has been using High Point Camp to equip campers to follow God and walk in love. Over the last decade, we have seen significant growth, and in order to handle our growing number of campers and to allow more guest groups to experience High Point we are moving forward with the expansion of the camp dining hall.
Features
Phase 2 - Seating
According to Pennsylvania building codes the current dining hall can seat 237 guests. During the summer of 2022 we served an average of 350 guests each meal. The expansion will allow 350 guests to be seated comfortably.
Phase 2 - Restrooms
The current dining hall restrooms are too small and are located at the top of a narrow flight of steps. The expansion will add larger and more easily accessible and handicap restrooms on the main level.
Phase 2 - Flow
The current dining hall was built on the foundation of an 18th century barn and was never meant to be a dining hall. The expansion will increase the efficiency and flow of people, food and dishes.
Phase 2 - Secondary Chapel
The current camp facility only has one chapel/meeting space. The expansion of the dining hall will allow us to host two groups simultaneously by providing a chapel/meeting space for each group, while still having enough dining space.
Phase 3 - Storage
The current dining hall has very limited storage space for tables, chairs, food and food service equipment. The expansion will add significantly more dedicated and easily accessible storage space.
Phase 3 - Office Space
The current dining hall building is the location of our camp office. The expansion will allow for more needed office space and a conference room.
